Thrilling competition

The Elite Stallions Young Horse Prix St Georges Championship Finalcelebrates rising equine talent at the Prix St Georges level while raising awareness of performance horse breeding for the elite level. Following a preliminary class earlier in the week, the top eight 7-9-year-old horses fight it out to take this hugely prestigious title. The NAF Superflex FEI CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Final is arguably the blue riband event of the festival. Watch in awe as combinations dance their way through piaffe and passage, all choreographed to a rousing soundtrack. This exciting class has previously been won by a host of leading combinations including Richard Davison and Bublingh in 2017 and 2018, and Charlotte Dujardin and Mount St John Freestyle in 2019.

Entertaining displays

As the competition takes a short interval, guests are treated to an entertaining and informative demonstration. In 2019, British team rider Anna Ross offered an enlightening and at times humorous display filled with hints and tips for training a horse to Grand Prix level. In 2017, guests enjoyed an exclusive analysis of Valegro under the watchful eye of international judge Stephen Clarke. Performing parts of their legendary London 2012 Olympic test, guests heard first hand why Valegro and Charlotte Dujardin were as near to perfect as many dressage experts had ever seen. Check back soon for details of the Gala Evening demonstration for 2021.
